Randon, a company that is part of Randoncorp, was awarded the 51st RS Export Award for its relevant performance in the foreign market in 2022. The award ceremony took place on this Thursday, August 17, at Casa NTX, in Porto Alegre.
The largest manufacturer of semi-trucks in Latin America and one of the largest in the world obtained the award in the category International Branding Highlight. The record revenue growth in the foreign market in 2022 and the leadership in the export market share, with 62% of the total, are some of the indices that ensured the leadership in the category.
Last year, Randon sold approximately 6,000 units to the international market. The number represents a growth of almost 40% when compared to 2021. The increase is justified, in particular, by the company's entry into the United States, both by the sale of semi-trucks and by the acquisition of the American manufacturer, Hercules Chassis, according to Sandro Trentin, COO of Randoncorp's Vertical OEM.
"The acquisition of Hercules Chassis and the consequent entry into the largest semi-truck market in the West is a fundamental move in the execution of the sustainable growth strategy we have planned, expanding our international participation and enhancing synergies. In addition, we present innovative and disruptive products, which go far beyond what already exists in the market and rely on new production concepts, such as modularization”, says the executive, who received the award on behalf of the company.
Another factor that sustains Randon's privileged position at the international level is the volume of sales to South American countries, benefited by the good moment of agribusiness. This enabled a growth of 64.7% in revenues over the foreign market. This is the 10th time that the company has received the Export Award.
